Cape Florida State Recreation Area

Frequently named one of Americas top 10 beaches, Cape Florida State Recreation Area offers a wide sand beach over a mile long to attract sunbathers, swimmers, and picnickers. Cape Florida is home to a historic lighthouse built in 1825 and reconstructed in 1846, the oldest standing structure in Miami-Dade County, with guided tours at 10 and 1 Thursday through Monday.
